I used to side eye folks who said things like, “my children are the best thing I’ve ever done.”  REALLY? Really? o_O

Then I had a bunch of ‘em!  While that actual statement has never come out of my mouth, I do love them more than anything. REALLY! Nothing even comes close.  Moms will say it’s a different kind of love and blah blah blah, but truthfully, love is love. We just say that to spare feelings.  WE LOVE THE KIDS WAY MORE!  It’s like this: if someone tried to shoot my husband, I’d jump on his back and try to knock the gun out of dude’s hand or something, but if it were my child’s life being threatened, I’d jump in front of the bullet without a second thought. I used to think I’d be giving up so much by having children. Honestly, what they’ve brought to my life means so much more.
